SafeGuard Enterprise 8.3.1 release notes

Sophos recommends that customers always apply the latest version and patches of SafeGuard Enterprise to ensure that they have latest in functionality, performance and security.

New in SafeGuard Enterprise 8.3.1

  • Support for macOS 11 Big Sur.

New in SafeGuard Enterprise 8.3

  • Support for macOS 10.15 Catalina.
  • Support for Windows 10 November 2019 Update (also known as Windows 10 19H2, Windows 10 version 1909).
  • Encryption keys of endpoints that report a health status can now be removed when the endpoints are using location-based File Encryption.
  • A Security officer who has been promoted from an Active Directory user can be used for additional authentication.
  • The About box displays the installed modules with the product version number and the version number of the driver.
  • BitLocker password protector can be configured as the primary logon method.
  • Password protected files:
    • An encrypted HTML file can contain more than one file.
    • Password rules are displayed.
    • Support for Safari.
  • OpenSSL components have been upgraded to version 1.1.1.
