Fixed issues

  • Certification validation issue of new Sophos download locations fixed.

Known issues and limitations

  • (MTC-710) If you have more than one Sophos Update Manager configured in Sophos Enterprise Console, you will see this message when opening the Sophos Cloud Migration Tool:

Sophos Cloud Migration Tool is unable to start. Multiple SUMs are not supported. Code: 3

Multiple Sophos Update Managers are not supported in this release of the Sophos Cloud Migration Tool. You can only use this version of the tool to migrate computers updating from the default update location maintained by the default Sophos Update Manager. (The default Sophos Update Manager is installed on the on-premise management server during the Sophos Enterprise Console installation.)
  • (MTC-705) If on two different subnets you have two computers with the same name, that belong to identically named workgroups (e.g. “WORKGROUP”), only one computer name will be listed in the Sophos Cloud Migration Tool. The status of the computer as displayed in the tool will change alternately, displaying the data from the computer that has communicated with its management console last.
  • (MTC-348) When signing in with your Sophos Cloud credentials in the Connect to Sophos Cloud dialog box on a Windows Server 2003 computer, you may see the following error:

Failed to validate Sophos Cloud certificate. Please see knowledgebase article 122286 for further details.

This error occurs when you do not have all recommended Windows updates and the required root certificate update installed, and results in a failure to connect to Sophos Cloud. To resolve this error, please see knowledge base article 122286.
  • (WINEP-1713) If a computer’s clock is not set to the current date and time, for example, it has lost its time or has been set to a past time, the Sophos Cloud agent installer may fail when checking the preconditions for the installation. In this case, it displays the “Installation cannot continue” screen with the error “The installer package is out of date.”

To prevent this issue from occurring, make sure that the clock on the computers you migrate to Cloud is set to the current date and time.

  • (WINEP-1576) Computers with the following products installed cannot be migrated to Sophos Cloud using the Sophos Cloud Migration Tool: PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange, Sophos for Microsoft SharePoint, or PureMessage for Lotus Domino. However, when running the Sophos Cloud Migration Tool, you may see a message saying that a reboot is required for such computers. You can safely ignore this message.
