Sophos Virtualization Scan Controller 2.0 release notes

About Virtualization Scan Controller

Sophos Virtualization Scan Controller is a tool that helps with the management of scheduled scans for endpoints (both servers and desktops) hosted by virtualization software.

Virtualization Scan Controller lets you spread and thereby reduce the processing and impact of scheduled scan activity on the virtualization server. It lets you define a configuration rather than edit an anti-virus policy. It provides configuration options such as minimum wait time before a scan, maximum time taken for a scan, day and time the scan should be performed, and so on.

New in this version

Sophos Virtualization Scan Controller 2.0 can be used with Sophos Enterprise Console 5.2 and later.

Virtualization Scan Controller 2.0 works with Enterprise Console 5.2.1 out of the box. If you want to use it with Enterprise Console 5.2.0, you will need to install an additional DLL. For instructions, see the Sophos Virtualization Scan Controller 2.0 user guide, which is available at http://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/documentation/virtualization-scan-controller.aspx.

If you want to use Virtualization Scan Controller with a version of Enterprise Console that is earlier than 5.2.0, use Virtualization Scan Controller 1.0 instead.
